Get your children active this winter break!
The festive holiday period can be a hectic time for everyone, and it’s easy to let the winter break slip away without having fun and accomplishing duties and chores that you’d planned. To help tackle boredom in your children this winter break, check out these fun activities to do!
No one is more enthusiastic about holiday decorating than kids! Get creative by cutting out snowflakes, making paper chains, and hand-making holiday cards. As your kids get older, you may even put them in charge of decorations and strike it from your holiday to-do list!
Put on a Talent Show
Get the whole family involved! Children and grandparents can come up with their own performances, whether it’s caroling, dancing, or putting on a whole show! If you are working, the kids can work on their performances during the day and perform for you later. The show can be as elaborate or as simple as you like.
Who doesn’t love whipping up some peppermint bark or gingerbread in the holidays? Toddlers and teenagers love mixing and measuring – and decorating their final piece! Scale holiday baking projects to your kids’ abilities and ages.
Attend Local Holiday Events
Is your area hosting a holiday market? How about an ice rink? Perhaps there’s a festive show at your local theatre! Take advantage of the holiday entertainment and events. Not only will your kids love it, but it will also put you in the festive spirit! There are countless events at this time of year, so don’t let the holiday break slip by without stepping out.
